'Who am I?' is actually a better question because Islam Inspired is a one-man business, run by an Antwerp woman in her thirties who developed a passion for writing and graphic design during her years as a stay-at-home mom.

I always loved making original cards, gifts and treats for family or school occasions, but this remained just a hobby. Until my three children were independent enough and I found time for myself and my personal development again. On February 2, 2020, my hobby became my profession. Islam Inspired was born.

'Decorative, but above all functional' is my motto. The products may look beautiful, but first and foremost they must convey a message, inspire and keep the thought of Allah and His messenger alive. In addition, I insist on developing and producing all my products myself, which gives me the freedom to go far in customization.

From the very beginning I have tried to distinguish myself by writing all texts and quotes myself and focusing on honesty, originality, content and sustainability.

The design, production, shipping and therefore also the quality control are still done by myself in my own familiar studio. I am convinced that these factors have contributed to my Trustscore of 4.9/5 . The webshop has been rated with 5 stars continuously for the past two years. Something I am very proud of and which motivates me to do even better.

Over the past few years I have learned a lot and invested in new machines and materials, which has greatly expanded the range.

Customer friendliness is and will remain my hobbyhorse, I am happy to speak to you and occasionally take you behind the scenes on our Instagram page and my blogs.

Prices shown

Islam Inspired is a small business and exempt from charging VAT. The prices shown in the webshop www.islaminspired.com only include shipping costs when checking out. However, you are exempt from shipping costs when:

• You place an order of more than €100 (BE) or €150 (NL)
• You collect the order yourself in Ekeren Donk (Antwerp)

Fixed prices

Because Islam Inspired has a low profit margin and does not have to charge VAT, it offers its products at a very competitive price. Because all customers are treated equally, there is never any negotiation about the price.

Large volumes

As you can read in 'Who are we' Islam Inspired is a one-man business. Each product is handmade by one person, so it goes without saying that larger volumes require a longer delivery time or are sometimes simply not feasible. So please contact us first.

Payment for ready-made products

Products from the webshop are easy to order and can be paid for safely using all common payment methods in Belgium and the Netherlands, including: Bancontact, iDeal, Visa and Mastercard.

Payment for custom products

For custom work, an invoice is manually created and sent via email. Once paid, the order goes into production

Purchasing

If you are a shop or webshop that would like to purchase Islam Inspired products, then this is negotiable. Please take the above into account. Because we do not charge VAT, you cannot reclaim it. We can give a quantity discount. This depends on the product.

Are you an entrepreneur and would you like an invoice? You can! Send us an email with your order number and mention of your VAT number (+ contact details if these differ from the shipping details)

We kindly request that you order ready-made products via the website and not via social media or chat channels. This way we maintain an overview and orders can be processed faster.

Important:

If you need your order by a specific date, please contact us before placing your order. via the Whatsapp icon with a screenshot of your shopping cart. This way we can give you an up-to-date estimate of the delivery time and possibly create an urgent order (more information further down this page).

If you do not do this, the delivery time as described below will apply.

Option 1: Pick up by appointment in Ekeren near Antwerp.

• Delivery time: If you place your order before 11am, you can assume that the order can be picked up the next business day. On Saturdays and Sundays we do not work on orders and no pick-up is possible.
• Price: Free

We are not a physical store, just a pick-up point. Pick-ups can only be made by appointment by women, as the handover is done one-on-one by the female manager. We urge you to comply with this. Not only out of respect for us, but especially because of the Islamic regulations regarding this.

Pick-up times are within normal working hours. On certain days we provide evening pick-ups until 8pm.

Orders must be collected within 14 days.

Collection times vary weekly so these will be communicated along with the address in the collection notification.

The pick-up notification is sent via Whatsapp or SMS as emails often end up in SPAM. It is therefore extremely important that you provide a correct telephone number when ordering.

Option 2: Shipping within Belgium

• Rates: €1.45 to €6.95, depending on order weight and size.
• Free shipping from 100 €.
  
• Ordered before 11am = shipped the next business day. Saturdays and Sundays are not business days. In principle, parcel post with track & trace will be delivered the following business day. Letterbox post without track & trace can take 3 business days to arrive.
• You will receive an email once your order has been shipped.
  
• Delivery of parcels takes place from Monday to Friday by DPD as standard. However, you can also choose Saturday delivery for an additional fee. As soon as the driver is on his way with your parcel, you will receive an e-mail with the estimated time of delivery.
• Delivery of letterbox post takes place from Monday to Friday by bpost

Option 3: Shipping to the Netherlands

• Rates: €2.95 to €8.95, depending on order weight and size.
• Free shipping from 150 €
• You will receive an email once your order has been shipped.
• Ordered before 11am = shipped the next business day. Saturdays and Sundays are not business days. In principle, parcel post with track & trace will be delivered the following business day. Letterbox post without track & trace can take 3 business days to arrive.

Urgent orders

Depending on the size of the order and the associated processing time and our own logistical capabilities, in some cases we can make an extra trip to the post office or prepare your order for collection during the weekend.

The additional cost for an urgent order is 20% of the order amount + any additional shipping costs for example for Saturday delivery.

Contact us via the Whatsapp icon at the bottom right of your screen or via info@islaminspired.com to discuss this option with us. It may be useful to make a screenshot of your shopping cart in advance.

Urgent orders are created manually by us and must be paid for via a payment request.

Points of attention

• We try to keep shipping costs as low as possible and do not make a profit on shipping costs per se. The prices described above include: postage of the envelope/package + shipping material + transport to the post office.
• We do our best to send orders quickly. However, the delivery times are indicative because delays at the carriers are always possible. We cannot be held responsible for this and recommend that you place an order in time or, if necessary, collect it yourself.
• Always check your shipping details carefully when placing an order. If you notice an error in the address upon receipt, please contact us as soon as possible. Once your package has been shipped, we can no longer change the address.

Undelivered or damaged packages

• If you have not received your order 7 working days after dispatch, please contact us. If your package has been delivered according to the track & trace information, but has not been received, you can of course contact us sooner. First check whether the package has not been delivered to one of the neighbours, in a safe place or in the letterbox.
• Packages that are not delivered or are damaged due to a carrier error will be resent at our expense.
• Packages that were not delivered due to a customer error will only be resent at the customer's request and expense (once we receive them back). If you wish to cancel the order for this reason, the shipping costs of the first attempt will not be refunded. Personalized items will also not be refunded. So always check carefully that your shipping details are correct and collect packages in time if they have been sent to a collection point.
• If you have not collected a package on time, we will receive an invoice from DPD for the return costs of this shipment. This will be forwarded to you.
• If you have received a damaged package, please immediately take photos of the outside and inside of the package + the shipping label and send them to us so that we can file a complaint with the carrier and send you new products as soon as possible and free of charge.

Returns

• Islam Inspired does its utmost to describe and depict its products as clearly as possible so that the customer is not faced with any surprises upon receipt. If the product still does not meet expectations, you can return it up to 14 working days after receipt. As soon as the product is received unused and undamaged, the purchase amount will be refunded to your account. This does not apply to personalized items. These will not be refunded under any circumstances.
• Return costs are for the account of the customer. We will look at the cheapest return option with you and create the return label for you.
• If you want to order urgently, return, report damage or an undelivered order, email us with your order number at info@islaminspired.com . You can also send us a message via Whatsapp using the icon at the bottom right of the screen.

Personalized items

• Personalized items are non-refundable. Once you have placed your order, you cannot cancel or change it. Why? Usually, orders are put into production very quickly. We cannot recover the material and time we have spent on making personalized items in any way. Personalized items include: items printed with names, your own texts and/or a color of your choice (using the color picker).

Cancel

• If your order has not yet been shipped, it is possible to cancel it. Unless it concerns personalized items. As soon as your order is on its way, you will receive a shipping confirmation from us. If you cancel after receiving this email, the return conditions apply. Send us a message via the Whatsapp icon or email info@islaminspired.com to cancel your order.

Would you like us to send you a gift?

Would you like to give one of our products as a gift, but the recipient does not live nearby? Let us send your gift directly and save on shipping costs. We will provide beautiful packaging and can write or print a personal text on a card if desired. Before we send it by post, we will always send you a photo for approval via e-mail or Whatsapp.

What should you do?

• Enter the name and address of the person the gift is for in the delivery details. Enter your details in the billing details.
• In the contact details you enter your email address and telephone number.
• Please mention in the note box at the bottom of your shopping cart that it is a gift. We will not send a packing slip.
• It may be useful to add a greeting card with a personal message to the package so that the person in question knows who it is from.
• If you would like to surprise several people, please create a separate order for each person.
• If the person in question is not at home, the package will be delivered to the neighbours, a safe place or a collection point, depending on their preferences. Inform the person in question yourself if this is the case.

Islam Inspired holds originality in high regard. She insists on designing all her prints herself and writing her poems, rhymes and quotes with great passion. Given the energy and time she puts into it, it goes without saying that all these designs and texts are copyrighted.

Copying designs and texts without permission is theft. Not only punishable under Belgian law, but also one of the greatest sins in Islam. Also read: Respecting intellectual property rights in Islam

Copyright in theory comes into existence automatically, but in practice it is difficult to prove who was there first. For that reason Islam Inspired has registered all its graphic designs and self-written texts with the BOIP .

The BOIP , or the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property, is an official body authorized to mark designs and texts with a date so that in the event of a dispute it can be demonstrated that Islam Inspired is the original creator.

If Islam Inspired becomes aware of any copyright infringement, whether intentional or not, it will feel obliged to take legal action.

Our products are sold exclusively through this website. If you as a customer happen to notice that our copyright is being violated, Islam Inspired kindly requests that you report this immediately to info@islaminspired.com

If you don't find what you're looking for in the ready-made products, you can have an existing design adapted or have a completely new message written for yourself or a loved one and have it cast in a design of your choice. All products on the website can be custom-made.

Cards (announcements, invitations, greeting cards...) and posters can also be sent digitally only so that you can print or send them yourself. You will then save on shipping and material costs.

Request customization in good time. Preferably at least two weeks in advance. For birth announcements we recommend at least two months.

How is the price calculated?

The prize consists of:

• The pure material cost of the product and packaging. If you choose a digital design, these costs are of course eliminated. The material cost for each product is different.
• Working hours (design, administration, communication with the client). Per minute we charge €0.49.
• Possible shipping costs. Orders above 100 € (BE) and 150 (NL) are shipped free of charge and collection at our location in Ekeren Donk near Antwerp is also free of charge.

How long does it take us on average to work on a design?

Customers who know exactly what they want and give clear instructions, provide their own texts or prefer a minimalist design, we are of course done faster with. Small changes to an existing design are also made quickly. Count on 30 minutes to 2 hours.

If we have to come up with everything ourselves - from design to texts - and have to keep reporting this back to the client, it takes more time. Count on 3-8 hours.

What don't we do?

We are open to all requests, provided they fall within the Islamic permissible. For example, we do not design for Christian holidays, Valentine's Day or birthdays.

We can also incorporate texts or images supplied by you into a design of your choice, but these texts may not be copyrighted.

Because we already have a minimal profit margin, do not charge VAT and like to treat all our customers equally, we never negotiate on price.
